Résumé
La guerre de 1914-1918 et l’activité de propagande qu’elle suscite en France affectent la littérature pour la jeunesse. On assiste ainsi durant cette période à la promotion du personnage de l’enfant justicier, qui venge la mort d’un proche par la mort de son meurtrier germanique. Les conventions morales qui régulent la littérature pour la jeunesse se trouvent ainsi mises entre parenthèses. En effet tuer un soldat allemand pour venger les siens, c’est participer en conscience ou à son insu au grand combat national contre l’envahisseur.

Abstract
The First World War and the propaganda it aroused in France had an impact on the available children's literature. Consequently, this period was marked by the painting of the child as a righter of wrongs avenging the death of a loved one by killing his German murderer. The moral conventions that regulate children's literature were thus put on hold. Indeed, killing a German soldier to avenge one's own meant participating consciously or unconsciously in the great national battle against the invader.
